Information on French Auxillary Minesweepers

Message par ptdockyard »

Can anyone provide photos of the following yachts taken over as auxillary Minesweepers in 1939? They were all in the Mediterranean:

Tess II (AD-127)
Marélyn (AD-128)
Caducée (AD 239)
Bittern ( Served in the Vichy Fr. Navy 1941)

There are a number of yachts that later served in the Kriegsmarine that I am interested in too:
L'Aventureux
Vier
La Route est Belle
Floculat
Fleur de Lys
Fanfan La Tulipe ( I love the name on this one!)
Dulcinea
Chimére
Mar y Sol
Fat Duc
Sabot de Venus

Any help would be great. Is there a source ( book, website) on old yachts available somewhere?

I think it's very difficult to find these photos. These boats are not on the base of the historic service of the national marine.I've the same problem with the freefrench mines sweeppers in 1944.I've not found any photos after 20 years seaching.Perhaps someone has a personal one , i hope it.Sincerely.

Here is a picture of the Marélyn (AD-128) when she was the "Braemar" in the late twenties:
